Fluorometer
A fluorometer is an analytical instrument designed for fast and accurate measurement of fluorescence properties in samples. Portable fluorometers are especially suitable for on-site field measurements as well as laboratory use
A fluorometer is a sensitive analytical instrument used to measure the fluorescence properties of a sample. Fluorescence occurs when certain substances absorb light at a specific wavelength and then emit light at a longer wavelength. By detecting this emitted light, a fluorometer provides accurate qualitative and quantitative information about the sample.
Portable fluorometers are especially designed for quick field measurements while maintaining laboratory-grade accuracy. These instruments are compact, lightweight, and highly sensitive, allowing them to be used both on-site and in laboratory environments. Their portability makes them ideal for field research, environmental studies, agricultural analysis, and rapid screening applications.
To support outdoor and mobile research, portable fluorometers are engineered with a rugged yet lightweight design, easy handling, and battery-powered operation. This ensures sufficient autonomy for extended fieldwork while maintaining high analytical performance.

FLUOROMETER WORKING PRINCIPLE
- The fluorometer operates on the principle of fluorescence emission. When a fluorescent substance absorbs light energy at a specific wavelength, its molecules are excited to a higher energy state. As these molecules return to their ground state, they emit light at a longer wavelength.
- The intensity of this emitted light is directly proportional to the concentration of the fluorescent substance present in the sample. The fluorometer detects and quantifies this emitted light using a sensitive photodetector, enabling precise analysis.
